Tips to Organizing Your Wardrobe

When undertaking a task like closet organization, it is important to remember a few useful tips for organizing a wardrobe. These can help make the process easy, seamless and hassle-free.
Sorting
The first step is to take everything out of the wardrobe or armoire and sort through it. Clothing that is ready for donation are ideally placed in a separate pile. An easy way to ensure the completion of this task is to place the donation pile into a box, and then place it in the family vehicle for easy drop-off at the nearest donation location the next time someone leaves the house. Pants, sweaters, shirts, t-shirts, tank tops and anything else not set for the donation box are then easily separated into piles of their own.
Putting onto hangers
Next, clothes are ready for placing on the appropriate hangers. Pants and skirts are easily folded over hangers or clipped onto special hangers. While shirts, sweaters, jackets, tank tops, and more are best placed on hangers, tank tops, undershirts, sweatpants, socks and more are better placed in drawers.
Hanging
Once the clothes are on hangers, it is easier maintain their categories. Whether it is by color, length, material or season, keeping the clothes organized allows someone to find items quickly and easily. If looking for a white sweater, the owner of an organized wardrobe has no issue finding it.
Organizing a wardrobe is a daunting task for many people, but by sorting, organizing and remaining steadfast in the preceding organizational techniques, it is easy to have a functional wardrobe.
